Every recommendation comes down to two things: the shape (how much it sees) and the material (how tough it is). Here's the quick visual.

Convex
ADJUSTABLE
Wide-angle view down one sightline. Long aisles, driveways, approach lanes.

Placement

Material = toughness

Polycarbonate is the warehouse standard — virtually unbreakable, won't shatter if struck by a forklift or pallet. Acrylic for everyday value, glass for the sharpest indoor image.

Sizing = distance

Bigger mirror, longer reach — roughly 1.5 ft of clear sightline per inch of diameter. A 30 in convex covers about 45 ft down the lane.

Maintenance matters

Keep them clean. Dust buildup can make a safety mirror useless — and gets flagged in a safety audit.
